Solidot 7 A Series integrated I/O products feature a metal housing design with protection rating IP67, making them suitable for harsh industrial environments such as those with moisture and dust. This series currently includes two subseries, EC7A and PN7A, which use EtherCAT and PROFINET Industrial Ethernet bus interfaces respectively. They are slave devices in a standard I/O Architecture and are compatible with EtherCAT and PROFINET networks from multiple vendors, offering users a wide range of options for high-speed data acquisition, optimized system configuration, simplified field wiring and improved system reliability.

EC7A and PN7A cover three channel combinations: 8-channel input/8-channel output, 16-channel input, and 16-channel output, with two signal types available: NPN type and PNP type. PN7A additionally offers the configurable input/output models PN7A-0016A+ and PN7A-0016B+, in which each channel can be set as an input or an output as required. The specific models are as follows:

Communication performance
Both EC7A and PN7A are based on high-performance communication chips and support a maximum transmission distance of 100 m between stations, meeting the requirements of high-speed data acquisition.
Input Filter
The digital input side of PN7A is permanently configured with a 3 ms input filter, which removes noise caused by switch contact bounce and electrical noise and prevents false signal detection.
Output Clear/Hold
The PN7A output channels can be configured with the output action to take on communication error, supporting Clear output or Hold Last state to suit different on-site safety strategy requirements.
Independent dual power supply
The system power supply US and the load power supply UL are connected independently, and GNDS and GNDL are electrically isolated. Separate switching power supplies are recommended for each to ensure stable operation.
Easy diagnostics
The innovative design places the channel indicator directly next to each channel, making channel status easy to see at a glance. The module also provides network, system power supply, operational state and alarm indicators for convenient inspection and maintenance.
Easy configuration
Configuration is simple: the EC7A supports mainstream EtherCAT Masters such as TwinCAT3, CODESYS V3.5 and Sysmac Studio, while the PN7A supports mainstream PROFINET masters such as TIA Portal and STEP 7-MicroWIN SMART.
Simple, fast wiring
The bus, power supply and I/O interfaces all use standard M12 connectors, and standard cables are used for wiring, making on-site wiring simple and fast.
